The United Kingdom has the biggest population of children in Europe, and there are 1.8 billion young people in the world today. The impact that we have on the health and wellbeing of children and young people will have a lasting impact on the future population health, wealth and prosperity.
Part of the mission to support this cause is the development of a new National Centre for Child Health Technology (NCCHT), which will be the first of its kind in the world, creating the most advanced and integrated healthcare system for children. Located at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, the centre will bring together industry, academia, clinicians, patients and families to create high value products at pace to impact and improve the future and long-term health of children and young people.
The centre will offer a range of crucial services, one of which is the Children & Young People’s HealthTech Accelerator, which is tasked with providing an opportunity to deliver groundbreaking medical technologies for children.
UP Ventures will work with stakeholders to fine-tune and accelerate the development and deployment of innovations through effective collaboration across progressive partners, champion entrepreneurs, educated investors and passionate, insightful clinicians. This fusion of partners will be crucial to this world-class accelerator, overseen by the NCCHT and powered by UP. The programme will be designed and delivered by UP and follows a series of highly successful accelerators.
This is a unique mission with international scope, and UP are now inviting contributing partners and sponsors to help shape the future of children’s health and medical technology. Whether it is participating in the programme or being a sponsor of the accelerator, do not miss this opportunity for your company and your brand.
