The Lifescan Pathfinder programme was designed to reinvigorate a culture of intrapreneurship and bring together multi-disciplined teams to collaborate and problem solve.
Inverness used to be the innovation engine of Lifescan where the group’s flagship product was made. There is an abundance of great skills and talent in the businesses and UP designed the Pathfinder programme to inject some new energy and confidence into how internal teams explore and accelerate their best ideas to market.
UP used a variety of tools and techniques to encourage innovative problem solving from the floorboards up and with a sense of freedom with the objective of helping to form the next version of Lifescan Inverness as a future-focused centre of excellence.
Some powerful results were achieved through the creation of new product ideas and by more focused commercialisation of existing IP.
"The 'Scrappy and Creative' attitude advocated by Steven and UP was exactly what we needed. The programme was about more than just coming up with good ideas. It empowered people by giving them the time, a framework and tools to develop ideas into more fully formed concepts that could be assessed by the business.”
